The split between World No.1 tennis pair Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza comes as a shock as they rocked last year by winning 41 consecutive doubles matches on the international tennis circuit and conquering three Grand Slams apart from winning 14 titles in all. Success has many godfathers while failures none and one is amazed that they broke off due to last few months of barren run where they lost too many games.
When the going gets tough the tough gets going and they had it in them to sort out their style of play to get to the winning ways. But breaking the partnership was the last thing they should have done and unfortunately they did just that to the shock of their fan following. Playing and adjusting with different partners would be tough for both Sania and Martina but here is wishing them good luck in their endeavour. The Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis partnership truly was memorable with some superlative wins and we all would cherish those glorious moments for many years to come!
