Amid the raging controversy over the film Udta Punjab, the IandB ministry sought to make it clear that the Government cannot interfere in the certification of a film and any grievance on the issue can be sorted out only by the appropriate tribunal. One such set of recommendations submitted by a special committee is already under consideration. Taking so much time to treat a ticklish situation is taking heavy toll on the collection of such controversial film. It is high time we act fast to provide an amicable solution to the censor issue. Better council should prevail such matters.
