Commuters spared of fare hike

Railway Minister Suresh acts as ‘Prabhu’ (Almighty) for the commuters as he spared them from the much expected fare hike to the relief of one and all in his balanced budget which has all the ingredients to take Indian Railways to good profitable days in the coming times. He has even promised to cut down freight rates in the coming days which is an innovative thinking from the learned minister. This step will bring in lot of business for the railways which should spike up revenues which would go a long way in optimizing costs even at low freight rates.

Suresh Prabhu’s budget did not speak of multiple announcements which remain on paper but the minister believes in realistic goals. I am sure some of the things which he promised like reservations on demand, elimination of unmanned level crossings, punctuality, cleanliness, hygienic food on board trains, zero direct discharge of human waste apart from some new trains would be achieved in the near future. Safety is a major concern for the Railways and I am sure the minister is working on the available technology to make Indian Railways free of accidents!
