Crimes against women on the rise

Another women silenced in a matter of two days is shocking news for people residing in Mumbai and this truly is brutal that a woman was pushed to death from a train by a petty thief in a bid to rob a gold chain. Mumbai is fast turning into the crime capital for fair sex as brutality against women is on the rise in the city. Petty crimes which result into murder is a fallout of demonetization as daily wage and other form of employment has hit rock bottom with business coming to a standstill. Such crimes would rise as people without money would commit such evils to make both ends meet.

Mumbai sure is an overcrowded city and it is difficult for men in uniform to monitor crimes as they are short in numbers. Police force in the city needs a revamp and State govt should spend funds to modernize the security of the city to match other metropolitan cities of the world. Corrective measures too need to be taken by the central government to neutralize the negative affects of demonetization so that business resumes as before which would give employment to people, thus reducing crime rate in the city and other parts of the country!
