Djokovic wins first French open title

Vintage tennis was witnessed in the final of the French open in Paris.  After the recent spate of rains, ouster of Roger Federer and the withdrawal of Rafal Nadal all made it tough and easy to the ultimate champion and it appear a one man show at Roland Garros. Even though Andy Murray is a mismatch for Djokovic at the final level, the British player won the first set and enjoyed a flying start. What an amazing victory for Novak Djokovic against Andy Murray after losing the first set at 3-6, but then coming back roaring winning the other 3 sets 6-1, 6-3, 6-4.The commentators were telling that whenever Andy won the first set against Djokovic he went on to win the match and were expecting an upset. But then the master that he is Djokovic had many an ace up his sleeve and came back in devastating style and demolished Andy as he looked helpless and clueless barring some brilliant winners and rallies which were few and far between. Now that the elusive French Open is his, Djokovic who has already won the Australian open marches on to Wimbledon in high spirits and then to Flushing meadows for the US open and is all set to equal the grand slam record of Rodney Laver of Australia, by winning all the four. It was indeed game, set, match and Championship for D’joker as he breaks the jinx by winning his first French open title.
