The services provided by a private sector bank is very good as compared to other banks. Not only are the staff co-operative and helpful, but the bank is also neat and tidy. On Saturday, November 12, I had visited their Matunga (E) branch to exchange old notes of Rs 1000 for new ones. I reached there at 9.25 am and there was a huge queue of people waiting to exchange old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. When the bank opened at 9.30 am, one of its staff member informed people that those who have their account with them don’t need to stand in the queue. I was the first person to enter since I was the only person waiting in the queue to have my account with them. My notes were replaced in a matter of seconds. They also offered me a cup of tea and biscuits. I hope after reading my letter, other banks will follow the same rule.
