Hitting out at hostages

It was rather unfortunate that the world is facing persistent terror attacks and the leaders in all the countries could not put a full stop to the menace all these years. Dear lives have been lost and the 12 hour siege at an upscale cafe in a diplomatic area cause worry. We have witnessed such attacks in the past including the 26/11 Mumbai attack. The hostages are almost brushing shoulders with terrorists in siege of this nature and the chances of survival is rather remote. The Dhaka attack is one more attack on foreigners coming to the sub- continent for enjoying the nature in countries of their choice and face a ticklish situation in terror attacks. A very sound warning has been served and instead of just buying time, the member countries should join hands and make a meaningful effort to curb terrorism from grassroot level and provide much needed security to the people of Asia in particular and other countries of the world in general.
