Together with the Diwali celebration, there is an indirect increase in the environmental pollution all over the world due to bursting of various types of firecrackers during this festival. Such firecrackers are very dangerous as they release toxic pollutants like sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide which gets intermingled into the air and causes variety of ailments like asthma, bronchitis and hypertension. It affects people of all age groups. Together with human beings, it also affects the lives of animals, birds and other living beings due to air and noise pollution.  Let’s have an eco-friendly Diwali this year and donate the same money we spend on bursting crackers to some charitable institution and make the lives of others cheerful.
