The shocking incident of a Tanzanian student being stripped and paraded naked by a mob has shamed our country globally. Rapes, molestation and crime against woman are on the rise in our country and record number of incidents are registered in Bengaluru which till recently was known as an IT hub but would henceforth be called as the crime capital. Playing with modesty of woman is the gravest crime in the world and the law and order machinery cannot be a silent spectator to this form of criminality. Cases involving crime against woman should be tried in fast courts for speedier judgements as well as unprecedented punishment should be handed over to people committing such crimes so as to frighten other people of their tribe. The sad episode at Bengaluru needs to be investigated by top authorities and nailing the culprits should not be difficult with CCTV camera footage available at most places.
In today’s world of satellite technology, it is very easy to monitor most crimes including crime against the fair sex and most cities and towns in India should be equipped with latest gadgets on roads and public places to check all forms of crimes on our shores!
