Law catches up with Bhujbal

NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal has been arrested for having received kickbacks in contracts awarded when he was PWD Minister under the Congress rule in the state. The money was parked overseas and routed back to shell companies in an effort to convert it from black to white. The irony was that Bhujbal was questioned for 10 hours before he was arrested and he was produced before the court. The arrest is expected to raise the decibel level of state level politics with the NCP describing the case as political vendetta as in the past. The enforcement directorate has alleged that Chhagan and his nephew received huge kickbacks for awarding various government contracts, including that for the makeover of Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi. At last Chhagan Bhujbal is arrested and few more wickets may fall in the irrigation scam with Ajit Pawar and Sunil Tatkare may follow suit in this elusive list.
