Kashimira Police have registered a rape case against a 25 year old man has been raping a woman from last seven years on the pretext of marrying her. The accused has been identified as Bhavesh Patil.
As per the statement given by the 23 year old victim to the Kashimira Police, She came in touch with Bhavesh seven years back and both fell in love with each other. Bhavesh promised to marry the girl. Few days back, the victim learnt that he is planning to marry another girl. When the victim question Bhavesh about his intention to marry the girl he promised that he will marry her.
After gaining the victim’s confidence the accused Bhavesh took her to lodge and raped her once again and called off the marriage. Feeling betrayed, the victim narrated the whole incident to her mother and following which they filed a complaint with the Kashimira police station.
The victim alleges that initially the police denied to file a complaint against the accused. The police later agreed to file the complaint after Shiv Sena women activists intervened in this matter.
A Police official from Kashimira Police station said, “We have filed a rape case against the accused. The allegation made by the victim is baseless.”
