Our visionary Prime Minister has made some important changes in his ministry rejig and it is very vital under the present situation. Two years are over and it is time to make an assessment of what the ministers are doing over a period of time. Some of them, who excelled got the promotion and the Ministers, who were in the centre of controversy received the axe. The notable among all is the shifting of HRD minister Smriti Irani to Textiles. This was expected much longer back as the small screen actor of yesteryears was in thick of disputes throughout her tenure in the education sector. Jaitley sheds Information andBroadcasting ministry to concentrate more on Finance portfolio. The best option left was to reward Prakash Javdekar to Human Resources Development Ministry and his work on Environment was the best during Modi era. It has been a turnaround for Javdekar, who was earlier stripped of the charge of two key departments of Information and Broadcasting and the much touted Parliamentary Affairs as a Minister of State. Despite the satisfactory changes made by NDA, Congress Party dubbed this as a vote garnering exercise and nothing else.
