Winter weather conditions give our soldiers a torrid time as the face the wrath of the enemy and cold conditions take heavy toll of their lives. In a recent avalanche in the Siachen Glacier in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ladakh region presented with a fear of getting lost in the avalanche. Massive rescue operation has been started by the Army and Air-force to trace the missing personnel, who are feared buried under the avalanche. Siachen Glacier is the world’s highest battlefield which the brave hearts of the Indian Army guard despite extremely hostile climate. The temperature often drops to minus 50 degrees Celsius in the region and that causes fear factor among the Army personnel serving the nation at the border. It is a matter of concern that the the lives of trained officials in the army and safeguarding our borders lose their lives due to nature’s fury.  It is testing time for the soldiers guarding the line of control.
