Skipper’s Smile back

Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s smile is back as he caught the Kangaroo by the tail and won the T-20 series 3-0 to break a century old record in Australian soil. Dhoni is the first visiting captain to inflict a clean sweep and thereby finished at the top of ICC T-20 rankings. Australian side on the other hand were relegated to number 8 in ICC T-20 rankings. The incredible Indian win was achieved through a team effort and each and every player had a role to play to make the dream come true. The last ball win at Sydney Cricket Ground proved that this team will go a long way in this year’s T-20 World Cup and a force to reckon with to win the trophy in our home soil. Eighteen runs were required of the last over and with an off form Yuvraj taking strike, everyone thought that it was curtains for the Indian Team. But the Punjab left hander turned the tables with a four and a six in two balls and turned the tables and helped the side for the thrilling win. We were on cloud nine after Australian side changed team for all the three matches with as many as five changes coming for the last match reduced their winning chances and the stability was missing despite putting a near 200 runs total in 20 overs. But for Watson all the others showed pedestrian approach and the chances of winning appeared rather remote. Instead of using the pinch hitter to their advantage, Australian side went in for the set batting order and paid heavy price. Absence of Smith showed a real weakness in batting and that was the missing point in the end. Kudos to Indian Team for an incredible win.
