Success story of Sri Lanka

T-20 game of cricket is a mind game and the captain has to use his brain from the toss and choose right track to bat first. On succumbing to Sri Lankan pace we attribute the collapse to wet and spongy wicket as the root cause for the defeat. Thus, Dhoni’s calculation went awry and we were bundled out for 101 with number nine Ashwin finishing as the top scorer for the Indian innings.  Rookie seamers took full measure of the weak batting side against fast bowling.  The record breaking opening stands and the uphill chase all came to naught as the team was bundle of nerves against a young side. The Indian Team with so many experienced players fail to win the battle of wits and folded with 58 runs for 7 wickets start before the team touches 100 run mark and folded up. Most of them failed to get into double figures and 11 extras saved us to go past our lowest total in T-20 Cricket. Ashwin, proved his all-rounder ability in the side and as we lack bench strength we were forced to select the same side all the time. Fast bowlers were our nemesis on fast overseas wickets and now feel the heat in our backyard also. Success story of Sri Lanka is the fire power of their fast bowlers pitted against a weak batsmen.
