Supreme court order corners Karnataka

Whatever said and done water issue is giving Karnataka Government a torrid time. Cauvery water dispute taking different turns and routes saw a day of unrest in India’s IT Capital. The State Government defies Supreme Court and refuse to release Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. The state has set a bad precedence and it is a difficult task for the centre to make things move as per SC order. Despite Bengaluru being affected by violence the Centre is trying to keep distance from water politics.  Cauvery water dispute really crippled capital city of Karnataka and the repercussions were felt in Chennai and in other parts of Tamil Nadu as well.  It was a pathetic way of expressing the resentment of court order.  At a time when north India is reeling under incessant rains, south India fights over water issues since the year 1992.  We need to have patience and perseverance rather than going violent over night without any instigation from the neighbouring state.  The issue has been highly politicised in Karnataka as elections will be held there. Petty politics is taking a heavy toll.
