Uniform civil law, need of hour

If India is one nation, it should have only single, uniform civil law for all its citizens, without any discrimination in the name of religion, caste, creed or language. Then only we can say that India is the one, united, secular nation. Otherwise India can never be called ‘secular.’ No separate laws exist for the minorities and majority in other secular countries of the world except in India. Why such discrimination? Is it for garnering votes? In Pakistan, Gulf countries, US, UK, China, Russia or any other country of the world there is no separate law for the minority population. Different laws for diverse religions, castes, creeds, languages etc. lead to undesired, anti national demands for quota reservations. This menace leads to fruitless anarchy in the nation, which we all have experienced so many times in different states like Haryana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat etc. in our nation. And this is not in anybody’s interest at all, anytime.
