Uphill task for Pannerselvam

Whatever said and done J. Jayalalithaa was wagging a magic wand on people and the party cadre in the same vein and that was witnessed during her funeral in Chennai.  What will be the future of AIADMK party after Amma’s demise? As expected O. Panneerselvam took over the reins in place of the departed leader. In the past, he did act on behalf of J. Jayalalithaa on few occasions. Like Gulzarilal Nanda as the acting prime minister did make appearances but could not occupy the chair on a regular basis from the Congress.  However, Panneerselvam got the full powers to hold the helms of affairs in Tamil Nadu and he is an automatic choice. We can rule out that the incumbent CM will maintain the same trend and make sure that the party prepare for stiffer tests in the same way like the Iron lady. We cannot now predict that it is an uphill task at the present moment as the ruling party will remember the lessons when there was a split after MGR passed away in 1987. Better council will prevail under the present circumstances and the party will uphold the high standard set by Jayalalithaa in the years to come with the same level of success under the new CM.
