After arriving at an amicable settlement in their matrimonial dispute, former Miss World Yukta Mookhey and her estranged husband Prince Tuli have approached the Bombay High Court seeking to quash the cases filed against each other in various courts.
Yukta-husbandOn July 3, 2013, Mookhey filed a case against her husband, parents-in-law and sisters-in-law under sections 498A (cruelty) and 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the IPC. She had accused Tuli under IPC section 377 (unnatural sex) also.

She had also filed a private compliant with magistrate alleging cruelty by Tuli.

While Tuli’s family members were granted anticipatory bail by a lower court, his plea was rejected following which he approached the High Court seeking anticipatory bail.

The High Court had then suggested the couple to go for mediation and attempt to resolve their disputes.
Last month, the couple informed the court that they reached an amicable settlement following which Tuli was granted anticipatory bail.

Filji Fredrick and TaubanIrani, counsels for Tuli and Mookhey respectively, had informed the court then that the settlement conditions had been finalised and the duo mutually decided to withdraw cases filed against each other in various courts.

Tuli and his family members have now filed a petition in the High Court seeking quashing of the cases registered against them. Mookhey, who is a co-petitioner, has agreed to give ‘No Objection’ for quashing of the cases.
The petition today came up for hearing before a division bench of Justices N H Patil and AnujaPrabhudessai which has posted it for hearing beyond summer vacations.

Tuli had in May last year approached the family court in Nagpur seeking divorce. It has been agreed between the parties that the couple will file fresh application seeking divorce by mutual consent before the family court in Mumbai.

Mookhey married Tuli in 2008. Prince’s family has a transport and hospitality business in Nagpur. She has been staying with her parents and four-year-old son since 2012.
