Anna unhappy with the poor state of education

anna-ralegananna-raleganSocial activist Anna Hazare has alleged that vacancies for the professor’s post across 365 colleges are yet to be filled in the state. Even though 2.5 acres of land has been allotted for implementing the technical education scheme but no progress has been achieved. The local University, State Technical Education Department, All India Council for Technical Education and Education department have failed to take action against the errant colleges.

In the year 2000 and 2002, AICTE had directed had asked the colleges to improve the infrastructure for improving the education standard. Many years have passed but they have turned a blind eye towards it. There is shortage of faculty members in various colleges.

Anna pointed out that several colleges operate without the necessary approvals and documentation but no action has been taken against them. Hazare has forwarded a letter to the Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan to intervene in this matter and investigate about irregularities in the functioning of colleges.
