Preity-nessThe Preity Zinta-Ness Wadia case may see a premature closure if the latest buzz is anything to go by.
The two parties are contemplating an out of court settlement. However, Preity had earlier reportedly said that she would not settle for anything less than legal justice.

At the same time, Preity’s lawyer Hitesh Jain has waived off any rumours of settlement between the two.

As for the CCTV footage recovered by the police, they were not of much help as they could not identify Ness and Preity’s seats. They could not be seen at the back of the stadium where the incident allegedly took place.

The Bollywood actor had filed a police complaint on Thursday night stating that she was publicly humiliated by her former boyfriend during an Indian Premier League match on May 30 at the Wankhede stadium in South Mumbai. The match was between Chennai Super Kings and Kings X1 Punjab. She has charged him for harassment and humiliation among other things.

Preity was in a relationship with Ness, the Bombay Dyeing scion, who also happens to be the co-owner of the Kings XI Punjab team.

The cops have written to Preity’s lawyer, asking her to be present at the Marine Drive police station and record the statement. The reports suggest that the actress has been granted a time limit of three days, within which she will have to come and get her statement recorded.
According to sources, Preity is currently out of the country and will give a detailed statement once she is back.
Also, as per reports, Ness will be taken in for questioning only after the 39-year-old actress is done with re-recording of her statement.

It was given to believe that the police have sought the email that Preity sent to Wadia warning him about his behaviour. They feel that this could be important evidence to the entire case.

The police will also take into questioning all the staff members of the Wankhede stadium.
