In what could be a jolt to Ness Wadia, in the case of alleged abusive behaviour to Preity Zinta, attempts to settle the case between former lovers and IPL team co-owners have reportedly failed, as per reports.
Sources have revealed that there were back door attempt for settlement between the two.
Three different people tried to get them on the same table to iron out the differences between the two, but it did not materialise. Sources also added that they might be refusing to talk it out be because of personal issues between the duo.
Three eminent personalities tried to intervene in this controversy, including a well known industrialist, former Union Minister and a famous lawyer.
The famed Bollywood actress had filed a police complaint on the night of June 13, alleging she was abused and humiliated by her former boyfriend, Wadia at the Wankhede stadium, Mumbai on May 30, during an IPL qualifier played between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings. The charge was denied by the industrialist as “false and baseless”.
In a statement given to the Marine Drive Police, a key witness, Jai Kanojia has stated that he saw Wadia pulling the actress` arms, the source said. Other witnesses, Parul Khanna and Shailesh Gupta have also recorded their statements with the cops. The two have been also been named in the list of 14 witnesses that the actress gave during the second statement she recorded after her return from the US.
Another lady has supposedly been called in for questioning. Tara, who was looking after the ticketing and seating arrangements for KXIP team, may be able to throw more light on the matter.
The police is now scheduling to bring in Ness Wadia, the business scion, for questioning. The Bombay Dyeing heir may have more trouble on his platter, now that many witnesses have supported the actress` allegations. However, the Wadia camp has claimed that they have 32 witnesses who claim otherwise.
