Subramanian Swamy is an eminent lawyer but a bad politician who thrives on controversy and loves to be in the news for all the wrong reasons. He is the ‘Joker in the pack’ as far as BJP is concerned who use him selectively whenever he can be used to score brownie points against their political opponents. Swamy was nominated for the Rajya Sabha for taking on Sonia Gandhi for various irregularities and the media loves his sound bites for their own TRPs.
However, what are Swamy’s political qualifications to warrant so much importance? He played spoil sport and frustrated RBI Chief from calling it quits at RBI headquarters when he was doing so well as RBI governor & everybody including industrialists as well as even the common citizens only had appreciation for him. Swamy is now after Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) Arvind Subramanian who he believes could be the new RBI chief which comes as a surprise because Arvind is popular in the ministry.
Subramanian Swamy either want to be the next RBI chief or dreaming to become the next Finance Minister of our country. Time for PM Modi to intervene and make it clear to Swamy that politics is serious business where personal ambitions are not achieved by appeasing the media but one has to work in people’s interest to achieve certain milestones in life!
