navedIn what would ring alarm bells for security agencies, captured Pakistani terrorist Mohammad Naved Yakub has told National Investigating Agency that 18 more terrorists had infiltrated into India along with him.

Meanwhile, NIA has identified the people, who gave shelter to Naved and are expected to be arrested soon.

While interrogation, Naved told NIA officials that mastermind of 26/11 Mumbai attacks, Hafiz Saeed’s son Talha played an important role in the attack on BSF convoy in Udhampur district.

Talha gave the responsibility of carrying out terror attack to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) chief for central and south Kashmir, Abu Qasim, who instructed the two Pakistani militants to carry out the terror attack in Udhampur.

Saeed’s son monitors terror group LeT’s activities and is involved in the process of training and recruiting militants.

Naved along with his accomplice Mohammad Noman alias Momin had carried out a terror strike on a BSF convoy on August five in Udhampur killing two personnel of the border guarding force.

Momin was killed in retaliatory fire while Naved was foxed and nabbed by two villagers whom he wanted to kidnap.

Naved was extensively questioned for over a fortnight by NIA and sleuths of intelligence agencies during which he identified the truck driver Khursheed Ahmed Bhat, who had since been arrested.

The Lashkar terrorist also provided a picture of Abu Qassim, terror outfit’s South Kashmir-based commander, on whom the agency has announced a cash reward of Rs. 10 lakh to any information leading to his arrest.

Meanwhile, a group of 4-5 LeT terrorists came from Kotli on August 15 and are presently camping in village Dara Sher Khan in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and are trying to infiltrate into J&K.

Reports say that the group has already carried out reccee and if it is unsuccessful in infiltrating into Indian side, the terrorists are most likely to may carry out standoff fire on forward troops before August 28.

The Intelligence Bureau has intercepted calls, which say that 5 more terrorists hailing from Naved’s native place Faisalabad are trying to infiltrate from the Pooncha area in J&K.

The five militants are being handled by Lashkar commander Abu Rasheed.
