Save for Sion and further part of Mumbai, the strike paralysed the commuter movement. Both the trains and buses were overcrowded and making the commuter travel haywire and they were running from pillar to post and paid heavy price for other modes of transport to reach their destination. Commuters struggling to get into BEST buses was the common sight on the strike day. Kurla station and its surroundings suffered the most.
