Commuters suffer due to auto strike

Just like the life line local trains, auto the life line for road users went on a strike and it was a blow for commuters in suburbs.  Save for Sion and further part of Mumbai, the strike paralysed the commuter movement.  Both the trains and buses were overcrowded and making the commuter travel haywire and they were running from pillar to post and paid heavy price for other modes of transport to reach their destination. Commuters struggling to get into BEST buses was the common sight on the strike day. Kurla station and its surroundings suffered the most. In all the auto drivers delivered a message to the State Government that part of the mainstream of transport system in the metro city and their demands needs to be addressed in a best way possible.
