Mumbai, next ‘Delhi’

Not only Delhi, but Mumbai may also become the victim of horrible air pollution very soon. There is a huge number of petrol and diesel driven vehicles like cars, bikes, autos, trucks, tempos. They all emit excessive amount of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. On the other hand, dry leaves and garbage are burnt within the housing societies premises. And the tree planting is hardly for the name and photo publicity sake. Burning of garbage and dry leaves should be stopped for preventing pollution. BMC mayor and the Maharashtra CM are requested to take vital steps immediately, leaving aside the blame game. Mumbaikars should also opt for car-pooling services and bicycles. All these steps will also save the protective ozone layer over Mumbai.
