Former finance minister Arun Jaitley expressed his inability to serve as union minister citing poor health. Similarly, former external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj supposed to have denied a cabinet berth in the Modi Sarkar 2.0 on the poor health ground. Earlier, she has also denied to fight the Lok Sabha elections. Former health minister JP Nadda is going to be next president of the BJP in the place of Amit Shah, who has taken oath as cabinet minister. Hansraj Gangram Ahir and Manoj Sinha lost the elections. So, they missed the cabinet berth. But it is surprising that Suresh Prabhu, Uma Bharti, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Maneka Gandhi are among ministers who are dropped from the Modi government. According to sources, many former ministers can get important role in the party organisation.
It is remarkable that Suresh Prabhu had held the commerce and industry portfolio as well as the civil aviation ministry. Prabhu also remained the railways minister before Piyush Goyal succeeded him. Sultanpur MP Maneka Gandhi was the union women and child development minister whereas Manoj Sinha had held the Ministry of Communications in the previous government. KJ Alphons, Mahesh Sharma and Jual Oram were tourism, culture and tribal affairs ministers in previous government.
Ram Kripal Yadav (rural development), Radhakrishna P (ministry of shipping, ministry of finance), Jayant Sinha (civil aviation), Anant Kumar Hegde (skill development and entrepreneurship), SS Ahluwalia (electronics and information technology) and Vijay Goel (parliamentary affairs) are also dropped from new cabinet of PM Modi.
Seven days after scripting a landslide victory that set off a wave of celebrations in the country, Modi Sarkar 2.0 finally took office on Thursday. Celebrations all over India marked this occasion. The entire nation appeared in the festive mood on the return of the Modi government. As the second Modi Cabinet took charge after a grand swearing-in ceremony, Delhi was glittering. A record 8000 guests, including heads of many countries and several foreign nationals, became witnesses of this historic event. This time, Modi has not invited the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan while Nawaz Sharif had participated in his swearing-in ceremony in 2014.
DP Tripathi, General Secretary, NCP said, “The common man of this country hopes from Modi Sarkar 2.0 to address the issues like employment and inflation. The lack of unity among opposition parties was the main reason for a massive victory of PM Narendra Modi. Opposition parties were fighting against each other. On the other hand, PM Modi mobilised people in the name of nationalism.”
There were gossips that Mod led government might fall short of the majority mark of 272 in the just-concluded Lok Sabha elections. Seeing the strong campaigning by the Congress and the party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra personally keeping an eye on booths, it was assumed by the common man that NDA was going to lose the elections. Amid speculations that Modi would not get a chance this time to form government at the centre, charismatic BJP leader registered a massive victory. The BJP alone won 303 seats while NDA got 353 seats in 542 seats which went to polls.
Ashok Parnami, former president of Rajasthan BJP unit, told Afternoon Voice, “During last five years, PM Modi made India strong, he held the head of the nation high in the entire world; he ensured the security and progress of the country. On account of these all, people of this country gave him mandate in the Lok Sabha elections. In the five years, India will be definitely free from corruption and terrorism. India will become stronger economically and each hand will get a job.”
Before the swearing-in ceremony at 7 pm, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and other top leaders of the BJP visited Rajghat, Sadaiv Atal Samadhi and National War Memorial in the morning. Nationwide celebrations were organised by BJP workers and the common man to mark the comeback of their beloved leader Modi.
The main Opposition Congress Party formally announced that its spokespersons would go off air for a month. As a precaution, no Congress leader was ready to speak to media. Shamina Shafiq, General Secretary, All India Mahila Congress commented briefly on new government at the centre. Shamina Shafiq said, “People want peace, progress, and prosperity from Modi Sarkar 2.0.”
A record number of 8,000 guests attended the swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. In 2014, approximately 5,000 people had attended the ceremony. The guest list included heads of several neighbouring countries, diplomats of friendly nations, chief ministers of most of the states, renowned personalities of every field, including the entertainment world. The families of BJP workers who allegedly lost their lives in political violence in West Bengal in the last one year were also invited.
In the national capital, Delhi necessary security arrangements were also made by the administration. Across the city, at different locations over 10,000 security personnel from Delhi Police and paramilitary forces had been deployed.
Leaders of all BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) countries arrived in the swearing-in ceremony. Member countries of BIMSTEC include Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand besides India.
According to MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar, the President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister of Nepal KP, President of Myanmar U Win Myint and Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotay Tshering attended the event. Mauritius’s Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and Kyrgyzstan President Sooronbay Jeenbekov were also in Delhi. PM Narendra Modi is expected to hold bilateral meetings with most of the international leaders on the next day.
The chief ministers of all states were invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. However, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Singh Bhaghel had expressed inability to attend the event. All other CMs, including newly-elected Andhra CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, JD(S) leader, and Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao participated in the ceremony. From the Opposition, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi became a witness of the oath ceremony. It is customary for the previous presidents, prime ministers and veteran politicians from all parties to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
For the second term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet has many old faces who were part of his first government. These names include Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Sadananda Gowda, Nirmala Sitharaman among others. While Sushma Swaraj who held the portfolio of external affairs is no longer a part of the Modi government due to health reasons. While Swaraj is not a member of the Lok Sabha or the Rajya Sabha, she also did not contest the 2019 Lok Sabha election. Jayant Sinha and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore are two other names that are dropped from the Modi Sarkar 2.0 Cabinet. Former foreign secretary S Jaishankar, who is not a member of the Lok Sabha or the Rajya Sabha, has also been inducted into the Modi government. With extravagant campaigning skills, keeping media alongside, countering and tearing apart Opposition, Modi made it to Sarkar 2.0. If you don’t campaign, you don’t win. Most parties start thinking of election campaigning at best a year in advance. Then there is Narendra Modi, who campaigns 24×7, 365 days a year as if it’s always election time. People have a short memory and he knows it well to store it forever. It is the result of Modi’s permanent campaigning that when you point out demonetisation failed, Modi’s voters say, ‘At least he’s trying to do the right thing’. There is no space Modi doesn’t believe in capturing, there is no social media platform too small for him to be present. He is the most followed Indian on Twitter, the third most followed world leaders.
Modi doesn’t forget to take credit for what he does, and also for what he doesn’t at times. This is why it was important for him to address the nation to announce demonetisation, something the RBI Governor should have done by the set protocol. Everything that went right in India, Modi took the credit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains “by far the most popular national figure in Indian politics” more than three years after coming to power. Nearly nine out of 10 Indians say they have a favourable view of Modi.
The entire opposition, be it the Mahagathbandhan or be it the regional leaders like Raj Thackeray. People hardly bothered to give them an ear. There were many attempts to drag down the Modi government but the voters wanted a pro-Hindu government and a leader with a difference. If you talk to any Modi supporter, they will describe Modi as a non-corrupt Hindu nationalist leader. The Indian political class sold two ideas — the old idea of India and the New idea of India. The old idea of India of socialism, the rampant corruption, and inefficiency in government offices, ministries and political class, clueless people in search of basic necessities, bestowed to us by Congress, AAP, Communists, etc; whereas in contrast, Modi in his new idea of India supposedly believes in democracy, demography, and demand and transformation of its weakness in deficits of governance, trust, morality, and hope. His firm belief that without good governance nothing can improve is well appreciated. His stress on the quality of life by which the youth can live in hope and dignity is welcomed by all. This again requires job and amenities which are scarce in rural conditions. It is here Modi comes in to give his governance and solutions.
On the contrary, his detractors are in the old school of government subsidies and intervention, the public experience of which was ghastly. Though BJP and Prime Minister Modi failed on all the promises made in the 2014 manifesto, however, people’s love is blind for him. Modi’s selection of simple ideas of sanitation, pure drinking water, and healthcare had more takers than Congress’ lofty talks. Swatch Bharat Scheme, rural sanitation by way of construction of toilets, and health insurance to Jan Dan Yojana Account holders are transforming the rural life. All these were implemented sincerely and some of them botched too. Modi in an attempt to help improve the condition of poor women gave gas cylinders free to the BPL card holders. Atal Pension Yojana with nominal contribution to has made Modi dear to them. Modi is held in high esteem by the farmers because of the supply of Neem Coated Urea. He offers hope in a time of deep despair and prosperity at the end of a decade. His talk is mesmerising and also looks to be very real and happening. It’s easy for the masses to identify with Narendra Modi since he is literally one of them has risen from a humble tea-seller to now the Prime Minister of the largest democracy.

The second day of 8th All India Convention for the ‘Hindu Nation’ held and the Convention raised objections on a Marathi News Channel named ‘ABP Maza’ for hurting the ‘sentiments of crores of patriots by airing a programme ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar – A hero or villain?’ on the anniversary of Swatantryaveer Savarkar on May 28.’
By raising a question whether the news Channel will dare to air a programme ‘A hero or villain ?’ in the name of Mohandas Gandhi or Jawaharlal Nehru, the Convention also demanded that the BJP government should confer ‘Bharat Ratna’ on Swatantryaveer Savarkar and honour his extreme sacrifice for the motherland.
On this occasion, H.H. Mahant Shriramgyanidasji Maharaj from Gondia, Maharashtra, said, “Our nation is going through a very difficult time. Hindus are compelled to face gigantic challenges of the likes of religious conversions. In this situation, we need to travel nook and corner of the country for protection of Dharma by keeping Lord Shriram as our ideal.”
Adv. Rajiv Nath, legal adviser of South Assam, Hindu Jagaran Manch, asserted, “Conversion of a lot of Hindus is going on in Assam through Convent schools; we started Saraswathi puja in many schools to control this!’ Satish Vaidya of ‘Agniveer’, New Delhi spoke about his experiences and success received while doing the work of stopping religious conversions.
Adv. Rabindra Ghosh, the President of Bangladesh Minority Watch spoke about the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh. Targeting the Bangladesh government for being inactive in protecting Hindus, Ghosh stated, “The situation of Hindus in Bangladesh is very pathetic. The incidents such as rapes on Hindu women, lootin, and arson of Hindus’ houses, vandalising temples, etc. have now become the common occurrences. The population of Hindus in Bangladesh which was 18 to 20 per cent at the time of the creation of Bangladesh has now reduced to meagre 1 to 8 per cent in most of the Bangladeshi divisions.”
Moreover, the International President of ‘World Hindu Federation’ Ajay Singh said that Hindus need to unite to seek justice for themselves. He praised Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for doing excellent work to awaken Hindus in India and impart them education on Dharma. On this occasion, Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Gururaj Prabhu said, “Secular Democracy was imposed on Nepal by hatching a conspiracy. China is making efforts to annex Nepal. Hundreds of Churches are active in converting Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal to Christianity. When Democracy was adopted in Kashmir, the people raised the voice to declare Nepal as the ‘Hindu Nation’ in its Constitution. However, the word ‘Secular’ was inserted in the Nepali Constitution at the eleventh hour and thereby people were stabbed in the back. Anti-India forces in Nepal are getting strong since Nepal became secular.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his newly selected Cabinet Ministers are all set to take the oath of office today for the second consecutive term at the Rashtrapati Bhawan after BJP witnessed a landslide victory in the recently-concluded national elections. The team will be administered the oath by President Ram Nath Kovind. The grand oath-taking event started at 7 pm and is attended by world leaders, celebrities and politicians. The ceremony is taking place in the presence of nearly 8,000 guests.
BJP president Amit Shah and senior leaders Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Prakash Javadekar and Ravi Shankar Prasad are set to be sworn in as cabinet ministers along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The news of Shah joining the Cabinet came from Gujarat BJP chief Jitu Vaghani, whose congratulatory message on Twitter initiated the speculation. Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj arrives at the Rashtrapati Bhavan forecourt and she will be supposed not to continue as the Foreign Minister. Moreover, reports suggest former foreign secretary S Jaishankar has received a call to join the new cabinet of Narendra Modi. Jaishankar is also the former Ambassador of India to the US and China.
Reports are around that JP Nadda is likely to replace Amit Shah as the BJP President as there are talks around Shah being a part of the Modi 2.0 cabinet.
From the Congress camp, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, party president Rahul Gandhi, former PM Manmohan Singh, senior party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad have arrived at the Rashtrapati Bhawan and are seen seated in the front row of the guest seating area.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has also reached the venue. Rajinikanth, BJP veterans LK Advani and MM Joshi arrive for PM oath ceremony.
While Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced this afternoon that his party JDU will not be a part of the Modi government as they were not happy with the offer made to them by BJP, he also assured that his party is not going to leave the side of the ruling party. He further told the reporters, “They wanted only one person from JDU in the cabinet, so it would have been just symbolic participation. We informed them that it is ok we don’t need it. It is not a big issue, we are fully in NDA and not upset at all. We are working together, with no confusion.”

While the grand swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is a while away, reports are around that JP Nadda is likely to replace Amit Shah as the BJP President as there are talks around Shah being a part of the Modi 2.0 cabinet.
JP Nadda is a 55-year-old BJP leader and a Rajya Sabha member; he is also the parliamentary board secretary of BJP and is known as one of the prime strategists in the party. Health Minister Nadda is supposed to be the leading figure of the ruling party. He is expected to work closely with Amit Shah and he is reportedly taking the charge of the election campaign strategy in the upcoming assembly elections in the states like Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Haryana which will go to poll sometime in September. Moreover, Jammu and Kashmir too have a possibility to see the polls while capital Delhi will also go to the polls early next year. Holding the post of the party President, JP Nadda will also be focussing on the southern part of the country and expanding its footprint there.
As we know that Nadda was given the responsibility of the recently-concluded LS elections in Uttar Pradesh, the party in the state bagged 62 out of the 80 seats. However, apart from predicting that the BJP would witness a resounding victory in the Lok Sabha polls, Nadda also claimed that the BJP would win 74 in UP.
Nadda is a three-time MLA in the Himachal Assembly and was appointed a minister in 2014.
According to urban Transport News, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation will start the first trial of Metro Train (Rolling Stock) at 3 pm today from Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station to Subhash Nagar Metro Station.

After marking a landslide victory on May 23, the Narendra Modi-led team is all set to take the oath to form the government today evening. As per report, the Prime Minister will meet the selected Cabinet Ministers at his residence at 4.30, shortly before the swearing-in ceremony. The event will begin at 7 pm.
A final round of discussions to give a final look and shape to the council of ministers before it’s been sent to the Rashtrapati Bhavan was held in the morning between the PM and BJP President Amit Shah. Moreover, both the strategic heads of the BJP had several discussions on the Cabinet formation in the last few days.
As per sources to PTI, Shah, the architect of BJP’s victory of 303 seats in the Lok Sabha, is believed to be among those who will join the Modi cabinet and is tipped to get either Home or Finance. Reports also suggest that each NDA ally is likely to get one cabinet berth this time.
Other senior party leaders such as Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Narendra Singh Tomar, Prakash Javadekar, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Smriti Irani are also likely to join the second Modi government after being its members in its first avatar.
The others tipped to get a ministerial berth to include Sadananda Gowda, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Jayant Sinha, Giriraj Singh, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Thawarchand Gehlot, Dilip Ghosh, Jitendra Singh, and Purshottam Rupala.
While it was made clear that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will not be in the Modi 2.0 Cabinet, Jaitley’s decision to opt out on health grounds has fuelled speculation about who will get his coveted portfolio. Railway Minister Goyal, who filled in for Jaitley and presented the populist pre-election budget, is being seen as a key contender.
The swearing-in ceremony in the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan is expected to be grand affair with about 8,000 guests, including leaders from the BIMSTEC countries, opposition leaders Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, chief ministers, corporate honchos and film stars, watching as President Ram Nath Kovind administers the oath of office and secrecy to 68-year-old Modi and his ministerial colleagues.
Year after year heat, cold and rain are increasing tremendously all across the entire world. All these alarming increases indicate that the dooms day is not far away, which is the most undesired result of the man’s limitless greed for money to ‘earn’ maximum possible in the minimum possible time. For such speedy and unlimited greed of money he started a huge number of the carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide emitting industries on one hand. And on the other hand he began to use the petroleum run vehicles like cars, bikes, rickshaws etc. to reach his destination faster. This entire nuisance led to the unwanted damage to our protective ozone layer. As a result of which the heat, cold and rain went on increasing each and every year. The sun’s ultraviolet rays are highly dangerous for the man, animals, birds and all kinds of the insects as well as trees. The money greedy man also caused the trees felling on extremely large scale. This wrong doing also resulted into high damage to our protective ozone layer as well as the rainfall. The greenery on the earth attracts the rainfall to a great extent.
The most urgent need of the hour is to minimize the use of the industries and the petroleum run vehicles, use maximum possible car pools on one hand and to plant maximum possible saplings and trees and conserve them like our own growing darling kids. If we will take care of the Mother Nature, undoubtedly she will take our care. After all she is our loving and caring Mother.

Baba Ramdev’s advice for two-child norm should be implemented
Baba Ramdev’s advice for implementing two-child norms by denying right to vote and contesting elections and all government-provided facilities also including medical, subsidies, jobs, reservation-benefits to families on having third child in the family. Every woman visiting any government or private hospital should be compulsorily sterilised.
Instead of providing incentives for small families, disincentives as referred above will be more effective. It is unfair to impose tax-burden on sensible families adopting small-family norms to feed those responsible for population-explosion in the country which as per 2018-report of East Asia forum is likely to be 1.69 billion by the 2050 making India cross China by big margin of 38 million by that time. Population-density still remains highest in India with a very small area as compared to other countries including presently largest populated China.
Production and sale of liquor (and also cigarettes) in India should be altogether banned like in many Islamic countries as also advised by Baba Ramdev. However five-star hotels and outlets at airports may be allowed to import liquor and cigarettes but for sale only to foreign nationals so as not to affect tourism-industry in the country. This step will drastically cut government-expenditure on government-provided medical facilities thus more than compensating revenue earned through sale of liquor and cigarettes.

Dynastic politics is an oft-repeated term in Indian political discourse. Most major political parties are helmed by people who are the sons, daughters or relatives of prominent leaders. At the parliamentary constituency level, how does a dynastic politician perform, both during elections and as a legislator, compared to other candidates who do not come from dynasties? Political families thrive with rooted politics and there is no heir fall on the eve of Assembly and Parliament elections. Birthright is taken for granted and the battlefield is keeping the political outfit as the main agenda. The age-old dynasty politics corner at the state and centre level and there is no doubt about it. The phenomenon called dynastic rule should not continue. It has to end but it takes time, considering larger politics of the country.
The magnitude of the win, both in terms of popular vote and seat share, has ensured the longevity of the BJP-led dominant party system and the marginalisatiion of the Congress party all over India. Mounting a scathing attack on Congress President Rahul Gandhi has opened up the Pandora’s Box and hereafter more and more leaders from Congress will come out in open to reveal the facts. This is not the first time Congress president faces criticism from the members. In the past, the allegations were brushed aside to save the leader.
Now the name is gone and the fame is dwindling down. Now veteran leaders have the guts to call a spade a spade. It is a blessing in disguise that political leaders of the same party expose each other’s misdeeds after the debacle in general election. Now leaders have a chance to expose the internal politics emanating after Rahul took over as president post of the party. There are allegations and counter allegations. However, one thing is sure that BJP got the much-needed ammunition to attack Congress as the age-old party was showering abuses before the election only to face defeat all over the country.
True, the Congress party has neither learned nor was amenable to shed its old ways of conducting politics. Old ways of conducting politics had gone with enough moral fibre not to psychologically touch the emotional chord of people on religious lines to garner votes. Barring the truly correct accusation against the Congress party engaging in minority appeasement, old ways of conducting politics were not fully appreciative of bringing forth a political environment that left an in erasable and empathic presence of majoritarian hegemony on religious lines in the Indian polity with sure attendant consequences of fear among the minorities, Dalits, and marginalised people may not work wonders.
In addition to dynasty rule for past five years, its disruptive attitude in Parliament coupled with the failure to scrutiny the important issues facing the people and country in its right perspective did not go well with the voters. Moreover for past one year its concentration was to remove Modi and BJP along with opposition parties and left-wing Communists ignoring the people’s expectation from that party. It is a pity that the bulk of its winning has come from regional parties. That too on the account of minority only.
Congress and dynasty politics in India are inseparable. It is in the veins of every Congress members that they do not think beyond Gandhis. Sixty years is too long a time for that trend to be shaken off. Congress party should be dynasty-free and select a party leader with good confidence, which can inspire the people, with commitment and passion, a good communicator, with good communication capabilities, with accountability, who can delegate and empower suitable persons, with a little amount of creativity and innovation and who can develop empathy with one’s followers.
It is not easy for Congress to break away from dynastic politics. Sonia, Rahul, and Priyanka are enjoying the privileges of a Royal family. It’s only eyewash if Rahul the winking boy of Parliament would step down. Neither the senior Congress leaders would want anyone else from outside the dynasty, as they have no base of their own and they are fully secured under the royal family of fake Gandhis.
Congress party should select a party leader with good confidence, which can inspire the people, with commitment and passion, a good communicator, with good communication capabilities, with accountability, who can delegate and empower suitable persons, with a little amount of creativity and innovation and who can develop empathy with one’s followers.

Dynastic politics is an oft-repeated term in Indian political discourse. Most major political parties are helmed by people who are the sons, daughters or relatives of prominent leaders. At the parliamentary constituency level, how does a dynastic politician perform, both during elections and as a legislator, compared to other candidates who do not come from dynasties? Political families thrive with rooted politics and there is no heir fall on the eve of Assembly and Parliament elections. Birthright is taken for granted and the battlefield is keeping the political outfit as the main agenda. The age-old dynasty politics corner at the state and centre level and there is no doubt about it. The phenomenon called dynastic rule should not continue. It has to end but it takes time, considering larger politics of the country.
