Mumbai’s revered Siddhivinayak Temple recorded an impressive ₹133 crore in earnings for the financial year 2024-25, marking a 16% increase compared to the previous year, according to temple officials. The surge in revenue is attributed to rising devotee contributions, increased puja bookings, and higher prasad sales.

Donations remained the temple’s primary source of income, while earnings from rituals and puja services totaled ₹20 crore. Revenue was also generated through donation boxes, online offerings, sale of prasad, and auctioning of gold and silver items.

A significant highlight was the record ₹1.33 crore earned from the auction of gold and silver on Gudhi Padwa, a sharp rise from the ₹75 lakh collected the previous year. Additionally, prasad sales saw a 32% increase, with the temple distributing around 10,000 laddoos daily to devotees.

Temple trust CEO Veena Patil credited the increase to a rise in footfall and improved administrative measures. She further projected earnings to reach ₹154 crore in the current fiscal year.

Beyond religious activities, the temple trust allocates 20% of its earnings to social initiatives, including medical aid for patients with critical illnesses, funding a dialysis center, providing scholarships for students, and supporting families of farmers who have committed suicide.

“We ensure that the offerings and donations received from devotees are redirected towards the welfare of society,” said Patil.

As Siddhivinayak Temple continues to attract lakhs of devotees, its growing financial strength underscores not just religious faith but also its expanding role in social welfare.
