Waterless Latur warns us

Whatever is happening in Latur may happen all across India and also the entire globe. In fact the district is getting very scanty rain since the past three years. And this year Latur residents are facing extremely crucial problem of water shortage. They have hardly any water even to drink. Fortunately, the Maharashtra state government has taken up this matter very seriously and it is trying to solve the acute water shortage problem on a war footing basis. The lack of rain is the direct result of the nasty global warming resulted into the climate change, for which the man’s greed for quick, easy money is solely responsible. But its high time to curtail this money greed by minimising industrialisation and the use of the petrol or diesel-run vehicles on one hand and maximising the plantation and conservation of lakhs and crores of saplings and trees all over the globe on the other hand at our earliest. We should adopt the use of car pools or bicycles with immediate effect.
